    Querie Understanding

    To anyone that can help,

I created a few tables. Each table has an underwriter field and score. I created a query that links these underwriter fields to show the score for each table. The problem is, if the underwriter does not have an entry in one of the tables it will not show up. Is there a way to have my query generate a 0 for a field that does not have an entry in one or more of the tables? I can send pics of the database if necessary.
    Thanks in advance.

You almost certainly made a design mistake with the tables. What do they represent? Normally you'd have a single table with your 2 fields plus another that denoted whatever your tables represent.

If you stay with your design, you can probably edit the join between tables, presuming you've got a table with all the underwriters in it.

    Paul,
Ill try and break it down.
In my first table I have a list of underwriters that I can use to autopopulate a field in 5 other tables. Each of those five tables contains multiple questions (like 30 different yes/no questions) that end up with a score. For instance audit type 1, audit type 2 ect. These are different but ultimately come up to a score. I created a query that links all tables to show a underwriter with the scores of each type if audit. It works fine if I have the underwriter listed in each table. However, if the underwriter didn't have an audit 2 entry, it shuts down my query as showing nothing. Id there a way to have my query still show the other for table scores even if there is no entry in one or more of those tables?

I think Roger has a survey sample that may be of interest:

that said, editing the join between tables will fix this issue, as I suggested.
