    Report View VS Print Preview

    Hi Guys,

I am generating a report with sub-reports in it. The report has numerous lines, formatting and sub-report is in Datasheet view type. I am using MS Office 2013. I have noticed a peculiar problem that Once we have made all the format settings for the report in Design view and it comes out perfect in Report View. But when shifting to Print view numerous lines and settings get disturbed by some MM which makes the report look very bad and UN-professional. Though shifting back to Report View the result is still perfect. Is there a way to control this behavior. As a matter of fact there is slight difference even in print to PDF or normal HP laser-jet, desk-jet printers.

Any way to get uniform view across print preview, report view and when finally print is given to the printer.

Thanks for your help and guidance.
    Regards

Reports will change due to the printer. Each has its own font list.

    what is MM?

MM - Millimeter, actually then they start to overlap which looks very bad. any way to stop this from happening.

If you have any controls that have "Can Grow" enabled your print setting will change when formatted for the specific printer being used.

The only way around it is to make sure in the properties of the controls that height and width are set exactly the same and that the top and left settings are in alignment.
Ignore what you see in report view, it's formatted for your screen - not print layout.
