Here's my table set-up. Each name for each visit also has the VisitAction and Comment fields so they need to be recorded together, linked to the individual VisitID. Hope that makes sense. I just doesn't seem that it should be as difficult as I'm making it.

    Thanks

After after a quick review the most recent posted db (in which there are no established relationships to post pictures of) I'm wondering why not:
    - have 2 list boxes, side by side to avoid multi-line selections for what might be large lists
    - buttons below move selected left list items to the right list or deselect and move back to the left
    - a vba sql statement uses each selected value in one or more append queries but won't run if there are no selections
    ??

Scott, see attached. I added a form to enter the additional fields when you click on a client name in the right listbox.

Ideal, thanks so much. It is a neat way of selecting the clients, I couldn't see how to add in the extra detail but that looks great. Thanks everyone!

Just a note in case anyone else wants to use this example, you'll need to change the row source behind the combo box on the visits page. It was looking for an events table (from your original DB I assume ) so pops up an error. Needs to be amended to the visits table.

So glad I'm not going to lose any more hours to this!

Thanks for the kudos, Scott. Sorry I missed that combobox; it was a massive change to get all the names correct in the tables, forms, queries and code, converting from the former example DB.
Glad this worked out for you.

No bother - I realise you'd changed over loads and totally appreciate it. And it was an easy fix!
