experiencing 3024 error in the past week?

Run-time error '3024': Could not find file 'C:\User\Mike\Documents\tblClients.mdb'.

This is just now showing up on a reliable Product Activated MS Office Pro 2013 rollout. It happens when I execute a DAO Set rs = dbs.OpenRecordset(MySQL) statement in a class module. Mature database has never experienced problem like this - just recently. The error indicates a file can't be found, but refers to it as Tablename.mdb. My file, of course, is a .accdb file. WTF?

Apparently, Remote Desktops connections are failing due to a security patch Microsoft released on May 8, 2018. Users see this error when they try to connect to a PC, Virtual Machine, Azure VM, and other hosts. None of this is pertinent to my issue. Just highly suspicious.

Anyone else having this issue? Stopping/restarting, deleting tblClients, rebuilding and repopulating is NOT helping. Looking for suggestions.
Don't seem to have issues with Windoze files...

it sounds like you did not activate dbs.

you dont have to define dbs, just use: currentdb.openrecordset(....)

but if you are activating an outside db, then
    set dbs = dao.database

I mentioned that it was a mature database.

Not really. I read about the problematic security update issue on FMS.
