"The field cannot be updated" error

I deleted several fields from a table. I also removed those fields from related queries. Now i get "The field cannot be updated" in my "notes" field. However, after hitting ok on the error message, I'm able to paste text. Only happens on my "add new record form".

Appreciate your help to eliminate the error/message.

    Thanks,

    John

Did you make sure that you removed the fields from your Forms to?
Make sure that they are removed from any VBA, sorting, or Grouping too on your Form.

    That worked! Thanks so much.

Do you or do you know someone who could look at my db for a fee? I created my db 14 years ago as a novice and have some things i would like to fix. Now it's the center of my business.

    Thanks,

    John

I would look for someone who offers Access consulting services.
I have not really had any experience with any, so I really cannot recommend anyone in particular.
But if you do a Google search, there certainly isn't any shortage of them!
