Centering a form on the screen, auto-center property does nothing.

I'm trying to center the display of some forms on the screen, but the auto-center property does nothing. Frustratingly, it DOES work on another database I built, and I copied literally every property but form size over from the one where it works to the one where it doesn't, and no effect.

It seems to me the auto-center property is being blocked by something else. I tried creating a blank access file, made a form with just a single button, sized the form down to just the button, and set the auto-center property to yes. Sure enough, the button is staying in the top-left of the screen when it should be in the middle.

Are there any particular things that would 'block' auto-center from working?

This is pretty obvious, but have you set this option?
Another way is to leave the tabbed documents options set, but to set the form as popup.
    Either should work.

Interesting. Is there a way to split the difference? I want the document to be in tabbed mode, but to be centered on the screen. Unfoirtunately I go between using a 3:4, 9:16, and 9:21 screen on the same database so I can't manually dicate the 'center'.

Try setting form property to popup=yes, with autocenter.

I tried popup, but it just pops up in the upper left corner.

Is there some other way to "center" something in the screen? Anchoring lets you do it by the corners or to stretch it, but not to anchor to the center.

in that case you need to centre the access window, not the form.

    A quick google found this

Don't know what difference is, but my popup with autocenter in tabbed mode is centered.
