still think its missing child records not showing in the field lookup

I am unable to make the form the width to get all my fields in as they are in Table view, and I have the columns adjusted to minimise width in that, that was easy enough, but unless I can make form wider I cannot use continuous form as I need all my fields not half of them !

use a continuous form (not datasheet) and place the second 30? controls below the first 30? Or use a subform control with a controlsource of table.mytable or query.myquery

Furthermore I need to make columns go AtoZ then revert back to previous order or make another column AtoZ and this was dead easy by selecting column and doing so, now in Continuous form view I cannot view in that way.

no reason why not. datasheets behave the same way as tables. For continuous forms right click on a control and sort.

IMHO the error happens after the Data Entry is complete. The data is lost at a latter time.

I would agree that this is likely to be the most obvious error.

I am missing entries in the PC drive field for about 380 records.

I am not missing those records totally, and it is not that I still have the records but there is nothing in any of their fields.

I see the video title, and other foelds BUT THE FIELD WITH THE PC DRIVE LOCATION IS BLANK, 380 times.

How do I get this form to show the other 50% of my fields, I am having to use table view. pain as I am now with a query populating a copy of the continuous form showing video titles alphabetical order for a certain pc drive location, or as I have it at the mo, for a blank pc drive field and trying to find the videos using my cataloging prog..

Well that makes my suggestion incorrect.

If the records are still there with some fields complete then the problem is not what I thought. But don't dismiss this completely.

I would be interested in knowing what your relationships are. Are you using AutoNumber or something else.
