Need help with ODBC in Access 2016

    Greetings All,
My work is transitioning from Office 2013 to 2016, with an upgrade in OS from Windows 7 to 10.
I'm having trouble connecting Access to the ODBC. I can find it in Admin tools and verify that it is there and the link is good, but in my Access file it doesn't show and can't be added.

Any suggestions as how to add a Machine Source ODBC when it does not show as available to add?

    Thanks for any suggestions,
    Yarbz

Odbc for what? another access table?
you just click the Access table import and link it in. No machine source needed.

Have you by any chance also switched to 64 bit office?

If so then you will need to add a new 64 bit ODBC connection, they aren't interchangeable - and won't show up in the available data sources.

Ranman256: I miss stated myself it was System not Machine that I needed to connect to a state-wide non-Access database.

Minty: You nailed it. I was seeing a 32-bit ODBC in the ODBC Admin and had to put the 64-bit in for Access to see it and be able to connect to it. Thanks.
