    Calculated fields in form.

    Hello everyone,

I am looking for a calculated field where in there is an addition of -1 (not a minus sign, it is a hyphen) for every new record I add.
For example for a New Equipment field I manually enter Eqpt-123 and for the next field Sub Equipment there must be an auto populated value that says Eqpt-123-01. How do I do it?

    Regards
    New.User

Add this code in the after update event of your New Equipment control

    Code:
    Me.[Sub Equipment]=Me.[New Equipment] & "-01"
That's assuming you are adding -01 rather than -1 as you wrote both versions.

Recommend you do not use spaces in field names or control names
