Request for DB Design Feedback - Is This Efficient

    Hi All,

I was struggling to create a DB. In the end I decided to improvise the existing Opportunities DB created by Microsoft.

Attached is my table relationships. Should I track the dates related to various milestones in a separate table (outside of the opportunities table)? Milestone fields are (Enquiry Received, Enquiry Opened, EU Form Complete, Approval Received, Quote Emailed, PO Received, Est Close Date)

I'm not sure how to create a query to find most recent date that has been selected (in the milestones) so I can advise when the last time we took action on this opportunity. Any ideas?

edit. Main entry form looks like this...

    Sunny,

In order for anyone to comment on the database design, they really need to know what the "business requirement" is.
That is what are the business processes you are trying to support with this proposed database? What are the "subjects" involved? How do they relate to one another in business terms?

Your design may be 100%, but without the requirement and some sample scenarios we can't be sure.

Many of the m$oft examples have embedded spaces in field and object names, but many will tell you that this is "poor" practice and often leads to unnecessary syntax errors.

Here are a couple of links that may be useful, even if only for reference.

    Good luck.
