What is faster: Excel to PostgreSQL or Excel to Access-PostgreSQL

    Hi Guys,

It can be here PostgreSQL or SQL Server - never mind (it is idea).

I have Access FE and PostgreSQL BE.
Access FE is used for updating tables in PostgreSQL.

I have also Excel where i am using source tables from PostgreSQL. (for my clients, they want to use Excel).

And now i am thinking: what will be faster?

    1. Creating Query to read View in Access from PostgreSQL and pull this to Excel?
    2. Directly pull data out from PostgreSQL to Excel?

I will be using no matter what Access as FE so i thought that it will be easier to read data from it than from Postgresql...

    Please help,
    Jacek

suggest you try both methods and time them. My instinct would be option 2 will be faster but might depend on other factors
