Query that displays only names that begin with the letter B?

I've spent over a year building/populating a database, but have very little experience with queries. I've joined two tables (books/authors) but I want to confine the query, at this point, to return last names that ONLY begin with the letter B.

    Thanks!

Tell us about the tables, or show us sql you have tried.

We're in the dark re your table and field names.

    Best guess:

    Select * from yourTableNameGoesHere
    Where LastName like "B*"
