Query to summarize values in rows into one field

    Hello ,

I would like to create an access query to place like values in one field in a resulting table for example

    ** Would like to group by Fund_CD, DEPT_CD, APPR_CD
    Original table

    FUND_CD DEPT_CD APPR_CD FA_TYP CountOfFA_TYP
    400 035 101 B 3
    400 035 101 C 1
    400 035 101 E 3
    400 035 103 B 1
    400 035 103 C 1
    400 035 C01 B 2

What I would like to create in Access .. and trying to figure out where to start any assistance would be appreciated.

    FUND_CD DEPT_CD APPR_CD FA_TYP
    400 035 101 B, C, E
    400 035 103 B, C
    400 035 C01 B

    Thanks Renetta

No, there really isn't, which is why that tutorial is commonly referenced.

And you shouldn't really put that output into a table, just return to a query.

If you want to modify your data structure and use multi-value field, you will achieve the same appearance but I DO NOT recommend multi-value field.
