Report Outputting Numerical Value Rather Than Text From Referenced Field

    Hey there!

I'm kind of an idiot with Access still and have a few questions, I'll start with what I think is the easiest one to answer: I have a database I'm working on for my team, and we have a table that contains all the users, along with employee IDs "Team Memebers". When filling out a form for daily task tracking, reporting is giving a value rather than text of the users names. So if someone is on the first row of the "Team Memebers" table, reporting is showing "1" rather than "Bob", if on the 5th row, "5" rather than "Steve" etc... I'm sure this is something easy to fix, but I have no idea how to go about it.

My other question is, if I have people who might submit data to the table we're using to collect hours utilized "Hour Tracking" more than once in a day. Is there a way combine the data together for anyone creating a second entry into the table in reporting? So if "Bob" appears twice, one entry of 5 hours, one entry of 3 hours, reporting to just show a total of 8 hours for that date?

Thanks for any help you can offer!

    1. Display the name field rather than the ID

    2. Create an aggregate query using the TOTALS symbol on the ribbon. GROUP BY person & SUM the hours
