    filtering code

    Hello,
I am looking for some help on a code issue. I have my database set into two parts, one is for all viewers, and the other is password protected for the administrator to add data and make changes.
I am trying to set the regular side to have no menu's. The password protected side I would like to have all options. I have found a few codes for this that seem to work but, when I turn off the menu's on the one side, it disables the filtering ability.
I have a form with a few drop down options. They, in turn, open a printable report and I want them to have the option to be able to right click on any data on the form and be able to filter from the menu drop down option.
    Problem...because the menu's are disabled.

Anyone know a way around this? Or is there a code to enable the right click filtering menu without the design layout being accessible?

    Thanks for any help!

a couple approaches; depending on how much you want to lock down. Simply locking the forms by putting the additions & edits property to 'no' is one approach.

Make custom menu bar is an additional approach to strip out some of those other abilities. This is common but not intuitive - you will want to have an Access textbook for your version and it will have an example of this.

Also experiment with the 'Start Up' properties in Tools to control shortcuts and other aspects of the user experience.
