    One more question Minty,

    Code:
The network saved Master FE for users to get to their desktops
How do you link FE with BE automatically?

Do you run outside macro which is looping through tables and updated connection to SQL Server?
Or maybe while opening FE by user tables are automatically linked with BE?

What I did that during after updating my FE:
    - copied FE to network drive
    - relink tables manually (refresh linking between FE and BE),
    - give users access to this drive.

    Hi Jacek,

Sorry to jump in so late but you are welcome to use my free utility called FBA DB Launcher (http://forestbyte.com/ms-access-util...a-db-launcher/) to assist with your deployment of new versions of the front-ends. I believe the explanations given on the page are fairly straight forward but please feel free to ask here for any additional help. There are some other utilities there that might interest you.

I believe your back-end is SQL server, so I'm not quite sure what you mean by versioning when data changes, that would be more like auditing. There are many ways of doing auditing in SQL and they depend on the version you are running, but one I used quite a bit is by using triggers. I would only do it on the "mission critical" tables as you don't want to track meaningless changes.

    Cheers,
    Vlad

Because we only use the database internally we have preset up DSN saved in every users machine.
So the links are maintained automatically.

I would have a read up about DSN less connections - this is by far the easiest way in your situation.
