    Sorry, my question was intended for UT227.



    I interpreted statements in posts 1 and 5 to mean did not want any edits to record once committed to table. Preventing entry in combobox may be the primary drive behind that restriction and setting AllowEdits to No would accomplish.

    If wants to allow edits to other fields then certainly just lock the combobox, which can also be done with Conditional Formatting to set Enabled property instead of VBA, unless it is a subform because I don't see a way to directly reference the NewRecord property of the form when used as subform.
