Show All Actions in Macro not doing anything - MS Access 2016

    Hello folks,

So I am using this "Inventory" template database that I downloaded from the Microsoft website. I am trying to add a button that would run a macro, then run a VBA function. I can't seem to "Show All Actions" and there are missing items in the drop-down menu. Here is what I've done so far:

    1. I "Saved as" the database and opened it from my Desktop.
    2. I added "Documents" folder and "Desktop" to trusted location.
    3. I opened MS Access as an Administrator.

    4. I had "Show All Actions" enabled.

Here is what I am seeing in the drop-down menu:

    Cloud someone help please

"Show All Actions" has nothing to do with structures or trust. Its a simple toggle,to show all the commands or not.
    Very bizzare.

    have you tried:
    compact/repair
    and
try opening it on a different PC (this does matter sometimes)

    Tried compact and repair
Also tried openinf the DB on my laptop and desktop

    Still not showing anything!

This only happens when I use a Microsoft Access template like "Product Inventory" or "Task management". When I do a black database, I am able to see all actions.

Why run a macro then VBA - why not just make the VBA do whatever the Macro was going to do??

    Hi,

I think I know the issue here. That specific template you're using is an Access web template - specifically the 2010 web style template. In those templates, the defaults are to create 'web' objects - tables, queries, forms, macros, and reports. You can tell these are web objects because you'll see a globe icon on each of those objects in the Navigation Pane.

When you're creating a new macro using this template, you're defaulting to creating to a web macro. Unlike regular client macro objects, web macros only support a limited set of macro actions.
