    Close button won't go away

Hi, I'm using Access 2016, and I have a main menu that I can't remove the close, min/max buttons, or the control box. I've changed it all to no in the property sheet under FORMAT. I've also used DoCmd.ShowToolbar "Ribbon", acToolbarNo to hide the ribbon. What else can I do to get these removed?

    I have a main menu
This is a form, not a menu - yes? If so, what is the display type of the documents setting (tab or overlapping)?
In 2007, I believe the forms either need to be overlapping windows or set to popup type before removing the control box will do much. I can remove the close, min and restore by doing that.

Sorry, yes, it's a form. It's tabbed, because I can't get my reports to show over the other form if I put it in pop-up and modal. I guess I may have to keep the buttons up there.. Thank you.

I'm not understanding. So you've added reports to the mix and you want them to become the fore-front? Then hide the form? Maximize the report? Not sure what you're trying to do as a whole.

Sorry again. I shouldn't even have thrown that other part in. I'm sorry there's no way to remove the close button without going into popup mode. I just didn't know that.
