Do you need to have both Created and Modified timestamp?

    Hi everyone,

Many tables in DW at my work have 'CreatedAt' and 'UpdatedAt' columns, but I can't really think of any cases I ever needed to know 'CreatedAt' time when you have 'UpdatedAt' . I also searched if any objects refer to this column and the column is not used.
I was going to remove this unnecessary column, but some of developers are a bit sceptical of removing the column as it was designed that way at the beginning. Their main reason is that you may need to know when data was created and if data was ever updated just in case, but I'm not convinced.

    Please Help !
    Thanks !

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

I deleted your References. If you are serious about an answer then I saw no need for that part of your post.

Example: For a membership database, "CreatedAT" would indicate the original date the member joined the organization.
