Gray Bar in place of Navigation Buttons

    Hey Everyone,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to get rid of the gray bar that's left behind when the record selector option is turned off.

Usually record selectors are at the bottom of a form. The only way I think you could see this is if you had a subform on a main form, and the main form was set to popup and it had a footer with a grey background. Then I'd be looking at record selectors on a subform and the main form footer would appear right below - if it was set to popup.

Sorry for mentioning record selectors when I mean navigation buttons.

I only have white backgrounds on all my subforms. What you're seeing above is a gray bar at the bottom of my main form.

I'm saying the coloured part would be on the main form not the subform, subject to the other conditions. If that's not the case, you could attach a zipped copy of your db but I may not be able to open it.

This is from last year but I may have found an answer, although I am using Access 2013 so your mileage may vary.

In Form -> Properties menu, there is a property called "Scrollbars" and it was set to "Both". I changed it to "Vertical Only" and the bar at the bottom disappeared.

I'm making a dialog form so the horizontal scroll will never be needed.
