Access 2003 and Excel2003 are not communicating

    Hi,

I came across a strange problem. I am using Office 2003 on Windows 10. I have an accounting package in Access with integration of Excel file and was running fine until a few days ago. Importing the excel shows it is in wrong format. I double checked the version and it even works on a differrent PC with Win 7. Access not only is able to import the excel, but also, Macros I had created to export excel sheet are also not functioning. Initially tried reinstalling Office 2003. Then even reinstalled Windows 10. Access worked with integration of Excel for just one time. After restart of the machine, the problem came back. I have tried uninstalling the antivirus.
My personal feeling is some service or something like that is not enabled or blocked.
Can someone help me with this ?

    Regards,
    Sujeeth

it is likely your win10 has been updated. 2003 has not been supported for many years and it may be a recent update has disabled the required backward compatibility for 2003.

So take a look at your windows update history - click on the windows icon bottom left of the toolbar, type 'windows updates' and select. Then click on update history.

Thanks, I will check that. Should also check if things work out with compatibility mode.

it is probably time you considering updating to a more current version of Access
