How to Retrieve Customer's Previous Balance

I have Orders table linked with Order_details table. My Customers do not pay me full payment, so I have to record Customer's balance amount with each Order and HAVE TO retrieve it with each new Order.

I want to get the Customer's previous Balance before proceeding the next Order.

    Need developers help

you dont keep a balance on the tCustomer table?
this allows you to add/subtract as orders/payments come in.
    otherwise,
you must go thru all transactions creating a balance that way. Use a temp table.

Saving calculated data, especially aggregated data, is usually a bad idea. Calculate when needed. Sum of purchases less sum of paid = net balance.

    Review http://allenbrowne.com/AppInventory.html and http://allenbrowne.com/subquery-01.html#AnotherRecord
