Problem Viewing PDF files in Access 2016

I have had a database up and running for quite a while.

In that database I have a field to view parcel maps of various properties.

This files are Adobe PDF Files. They have always worked.

Both my client and myself have recently upgraded to Access 2016.

I am now having problems viewing the parcel maps. The usual error message is that "Microsoft Access can't open the file containing the OLE object."

    Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your help.

These PDF files are stored in table? In OLEObject field? What method are you using to view PDF?

By double clicking on the field (in a form) the file is viewed with Acrobat Reader opened in a new window, when closing the Acrobat Reader window you are returned to the form. Yes the PDF files are stored in a table as an OLE object.

Can't find any explanation for why Access 2016 would fail. Sorry, I don't have 2016 for testing.

Do you have the latest version of Reader?

Yes, I do have the current version of reader.

Thanks for checking my problem out, if you come up with anything let me know.
