VBA unable to be read from a backup copy

A vba module has been mysteriously wiped from one of the DB's forms. So I brought in the backup, but when I try to open it, I get the long error that basically says: VBA in this database can't be read. Press okay to delete everything or press Cancel to backup.

The message pops up every time I try to open up the VBA.

Decompiling won't work because the same error message pops up when I try to initiate a decompile.

Is there something wrong with the backup? Is there a different way to view the VBA?

If the file is called "yourdbname_backup" then it is a corrupted copy created by Access and is not usable in any form. If it is a backup created by you, then I suggest you find a previous backup that you created.

Here is some information on corrupted databases: http://allenbrowne.com/ser-47.html
