The Press capable button is not working correctly

I have attached a zipped db file and two screenshots. I am concerned about the remove button near the top of the screen. When I open the form the button is dark and ready to be pressed.

However, when I change the name from the name on opening to one that I chose. The it updates, the button goes dark. It cannot be pressed.

This is clearly not what I want a clearly press capable button whenever, I select a new name.

    How do I achieve that?

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

Shouldn't the button name be btnRemovePersonnel instead of txtRemovePersonnel?

Advise you give controls more meaningful names than Combo170.

Combo170 events call the updateButtons procedure. This procedure sets txtRemovePersonnel button enable/disable state according to result of DCount().

Have you step debugged? The DCount() returns 0 so code disables the button. There are no records in tblPropertyPass so therefore the DCount() returns 0.

That is a good point. I forgot about that, please excuse my ignorance.

    Thanks for your help.
