Front end Access on Sharepoint - Back end SQL Server

    Hi all

I have been working with access for a while now and I am fully comfortable with splitting frontend and backend. Now I would like to explore the possibility of hosting the front end on internal (company) SharePoint and the back end on SQL server.

    Is it possible?

    Limitations?
Is it easy to do with an existing DB

    Thanks
    Craig

I've no idea whether it is possible, but with just the physical issues my guess would be you run the risk of corruption, it would be very slow and probably not enabled for multi user. And why would you want to host the front end on sharepoint? what do you see as the benefit other than maintaining a master copy in a central location?

But it would be easy to test. Just copy your front end to sharepoint and try to open it.
