generation sorting by age and graphing

Hi! I am new to this forum, and a novice at Excel. I have a list of ages of people who made purchases from my company each week this year. My boss wants me to make a chart of how many people in each generation made a purchase each week, and a second chart showing the total # of purchases per generation for this year. The Week's date is in the first row, and the ages of the people are in the column below. How can I best sort this data? Thank you so much for any help!!!

Excel? Your data is in Excel worksheet? If you want to provide file, follow instructions at bottom of my post.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
