Anyway to back up Sharepoint lists to a hard drive as an .accdb file?

For database that have been split with tables that have been exported to SharePoint as lists is there anyway to back up those SharePoint lists as .accdb or some other compatible file type to my hard drive? I've got a lot of important data in those tables and I'd like to have it backed up, also it would be handy for any future changes that may not include SharePoint (its working for now but I'm not wild about SharePoint).

You could build an archiving database.....Map your Sharepoint location as a drive, link an Access db to the lists on that drive, then create a script that appends each list into a corresponding Access Table, date-stamped. Run the script periodically and purge records after a safe record retention period.

Thanks! I discovered that I could just create a copy of the file and then convert the SharePoint lists to local tables. It only takes a few seconds to complete (although I am sure it will take longer as my tables grow) and the end result is an un-split (unified?) version of my database with all of my tables and relationships intact. Its a little more manual than your idea but it works.
