    Inserting photos/captions in two-column format

I have a long text document in a two-column format. Inserting small photos in each column works easily. However, I also want to insert photos that would be larger than the width of a column. They might start at the center of the page and bleed off one side or the other, or occupy the top or bottom half of the page. The text should flow around these photos. I also need to create captions for these photos, and the captions should be outside of the standard two columns.

Is this possible with Word, or do I need to use some other publishing software?

Text can flow around photos in Word. Why are you asking this question in an Access forum?

Sounds like you need to use other publishing software, like MS Publisher.

I did a search and the questions in this forum seemed closest to my own. (I'm not even sure what Access is.) Thanks for answering the question, though. :-)

MS Access is a relational database program. It is a component of MS Office Suite.
