I think I got it.
I think I got it.
OK, so I had to make quite a few changes.
In "Part Orders small_MOD.accdb", there were reserved word used as field names (Date, Description) and there were spaces and special characters in field names; I renamed the fields. I also took out the spaces in other object names (tables/forms).
I changed the record source for the form.
The relationship between table "Equiptment" and "PartsOrder" had different data entered, so RI could not be enforced.
On the entry form, the combo boxes are working....
In the Zip, there is a 2nd dB, "Part Orders small_Relationships.accdb". I don't like having a text field as a PK field, so in this dB, I changed the linking fields. If I were developing a dB, this is the one I would use.
In the form, I can't get it to do what you did with the PartID_FK. When I enter the part number it won't populate the Part Order table. In my combobox, PartID_FK won't come up as an option in the Control Source.
Not sure I understand what you mean... You want to select a part in the combo box by a part number instead of description???? Or you want to see both?In my combobox, PartID_FK won't come up as an option in the Control Source.
"PartID_FK" is an autonumber and shouldn't be visible to users. If you have Part numbers, would need another field.

Oops, just saw that the fields "OrderDate", "DueDate" and "RecvdDate" should be Date/Time field types in table "PartsOrder". Then you have access to the date picker.
