Access DB on Windows 2008 Server crashing on Windows 7

I have an Access db (MDB) that lives on a Windows SBS 2008 Server (x64). Users access it from Windows 7 desktops. Ever since we moved the db to the new 2008 server the application hangs on the workstations periodically with this error coming up:

"MSACCESS.EXE version 12.0.6423.1000 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel."

I checked user rights to the share and the folder level and they have full access. We've done a compact and repair without issues. The only info I can get online has to do with Vista and SMB 2.0 but that's not our situation.

    Any ideas?

all Access multiuser applications are required to be split - with the FE residing on each user's c: - and linking to the common BE residing on the server. This is your fix.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that yes it is already split like that. The FE resides on the users' machine and the BE resides on the server.

I know of no answer. It is a sufficiently tech question that you should consider posting over at Access development:

In the interim, I would move the BE to another server, or even a PC that is typically on with a folder everyone can link to.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
