    importing data requires open/close?

Hi, all. I have an outside program, a JAR program, that inserts data into an access table. The oddity is that it is not visible in the table until one of two things happens. Either the program is opened and closed, OR a compact and repair is performed. This makes no sense to me. Does anyone have any insight? Obviously, this is a fundamentally untenable situation.

    Thanks!

Yes, tried both. Finally gave up and moved the table to mysqL.. Problem went away. Odd.
