    How to Identify Entries are already in Access files or not

    Hi



    I have multiple access files in one folder users are updating data in to files i want to identify any user is update same entry in any of the file


    Please tell me how to do this

    Not sure what you mean by "same entry". If multiple Access databases have the same data then that is the first issue that needs resolved. That needs to be shared so ti is in only one plae.

    You may also want to look into some type of Audit Trail.


    Based on a single sentence, it will be impossible to give you any solution.

    I agree with Boyd, more information is probably needed.

    However, if you want to check to see if certain records are already in your database as they are being imported, you can first import them to a blank temporary table, then do a query between this temporary table with your final table, and see if there are any matches. Then you can write the records from your temporary table to your final table, clear out your temporary table, and repeat the process for your next file.
