Question Remove Blank Space if Null

I have a subReport that has Stacked Columns in it with information. I have each row sized as small as it can go, as well as the grow/shrink set to yes for each text box. I also have the grow/shrink set to yes for the detail section. No matter how I format it, I cannot get the report to go smaller then the height of the detail section with all text boxes at a minimal height. Is is possible to remove the text box entirely if the value is NULL? If so, how do I do this, or what ideas do you have! Thank you so very much!

If the textbox is removed for one record it is removed for all because there really is only one textbox that is repeated for multiple records. Why are records included if there is no data? Perhaps you just need to apply filter: Not Is Null

    June7,

Those are 14 different records that are stacked. They are pulling from one table but 14 different columns. I hope that makes sense!

You mean these are 14 fields with the same kind of data and you arrange them vertically? Sounds like non-normalized structure.

    Options:

    1. reconfigure db structure to normalize

    2. if redesign is not possible, a UNION query can rearrange the 14 fields to emulate normalized structure then the null records can be filtered out for the report

    3. set the textbox height to 0 and then position them just a bare fraction below each other . A bit of space will still be used by them but certainly not as much
