Porting an MS Access 2016 db to MS Access 2010

i am using MS Access 2016 to debug a database that was originally written in MS Access 2010.

As of now, if I make any corrections in the db in MS Access 2016, that file cannot be saved and reused
as an MS Access 2010 file.

So I am stuck with writing the corrections down for future reference to use in correcting the same db back in
    MS Access 2010.

it would be much easier to just correct in MS Access 2016, save the file and reload into
    MS Access 2010.

    I cannot do that now.

Certain things in MS Access 2016 version (usually having nothing to do with
the corrections that I made with MS Access 2016) will show up and the file once in MS Access 2010 must be discarded.

I would like to avoid this.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

The only way to completely avoid your dilemma is to always develop with the lowest version the users will be using. As you experienced, you can update in Ac2016 and run in Ac2010, but you have to be very careful to not use features not in the prior version. In short, best bet is to develop in the lowest version users will be using.

That is not an option, hence, my post. All sophisticated correction must be done (for now at least) in MS Access 2016.

I feel your pain, but it cannot be done reliably.

Perhaps you can upgrade users to use Ac2016 runtime?
