A Basic MS Office 2016 Question

I as you know from previous posts have been having trouble installing VBA code inspector on MS Access.

I am using MS Access 2016 which came with Office 2016 through the home user program (HUP).

I installed the software in early March. It seems to run fine. I cannot install VBA code inspecto, however.

When I downloaded the software from the Microsoft website it did not come with a product key, which I thought was strange.

Instead to activate the want my phone and email address (which I assume are both from work).

But when I have tried to activate it this way - well nothing works.

It seems that it is still operating after 30 days and there has been no activation, although I have tried many times.

My question is the failure to activate the software possibly a reason that VBA code inspector will not install?

Also, how can I get info from Microsoft about how to activate this software. They said MS Office HUP users get no
technical support on Office 2016, but they did not ever say clearly what to do to activate it.

As far as I know it never came with a product key.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

    Lou Reed

It could be that you have 2 activation codes, your activations code from your subscription and the default 30 day code that comes with the product.
run the following CMd's to find out:

    1) Please close all office applications

    2) Open command prompt as an administrator

    3) Type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16 and hit enter

    4) Type cscript.exe ospp.vbs /dstatus and hit enter

    5) Please make a note of the 5 digit product key (for proplus)

    6) Type cscript.exe ospp.vbs /unpkey:xxxxx and hit enter (xxxxx is the 5 digit product key)

    7) Once done try launching the office applications and sign in to activate office (if prompted)

Yes, that is how I got it. Through my place of employment.
