    How to Use Microsoft Progress Bar Control 6.0

    Hello.

    When my form is calculating, I would like to see a progress bar. I know you can use the Active X Microsoft Progress Bar Control 6.0. But I am having difficulty getting to to work. Any tips? I havnt found much online.

    Thanks

    keep assigning it the percent done

    bar1.Value = iAmt / iTotal * 100

    What is the process? If it is a query (which means you cannot know how long it will take thus you cannot assign a percentage) control passes from the part of Access that contains your form to the part that processes your query. This means you cannot update the control until flow returns to the form that contains it, making it pointless.

    AFAIK, this control is really only for processes whose length is known, or where the procedure that is running does not pass control to somewhere else, thus it can control the length of the progress bar.
