Getting "The command or action 'Find' isn't available now." message

I'm working on this new database, with a ton of historical files (I'm starting with current files and working backwards) to be entered.

I've created 3 forms to make data entry somewhat easier. In each form, I put a 'Find' button, which was working fine a few days ago (I got pulled off the DB project to write a repair manual for a new product). I just tried to find the last record entered through the forms and on all 3 forms I get the error message, "The command or action 'Find' isn't available now."

Besides the obvious, what exactly does this mean?

How did you try and "find" the data?
