    Counting Group Headers

I have a report that is grouped by a RegNum. The RegNum appears in the header and is formatted as text and then of course, the detail section has all the related records. The Regnum does not appear in the detail section. I want to count the number of RegNums. I have gone to the Group, Sort and Total section and in the Totals I have selected Regnum and Count Values. I have also checked the Grand Total box which now appears in the Report Footer. The problem is I am getting a grand total of all the detail records, not a count of all the RegNums.

    Awaiting your sage advice.

I put a hidden textbox in the group header named txtCount with a control source of:

    =1

and the running sum property set appropriately. Then in the report footer a textbox with a control source of:

    =[txtcount]

I tried that, but didn't use the brackets. Works fine now.
