Can't access the database with short cut

    Greetings,

The Access database uses a access security, MDW file, I set the user up with generic password and include it all in the shortcut.
The Shortcut works on my computer, and did work earlier on his computer today. But now he is getting a message "could not use "username"; file already in use."
I check the database and there is no one in it with that name.
I go back to my computer, click the shortcut and it allows me in.

What is strange I've created at least 25 users the same way and they all work. first time for me on this one.

Any clues to what's going on?

    Thanks

is it possible it is still running in Task Manager? (but not visible)
also, if it is not in TM, and the lock file is visible, .ldb, or .lccdb, then delete it before opening it.

Thanks fro the reply, had browser problems, wouldn't let me reply.
That's a good start to look. Also, The shortcut I made for the user, works on my computer
but on his, show he is already logged in.
I tried to delete the .ldb file on the network but it shows another program has it open even when its not.
Will try to get IT to unshare folder and delete it.
    Thanks
