Unbound?? Yes / No Field in Report

I have a report with a list of names / billets for work. I want to add a check box on the report next to those names to indicate Yes/No. This check box is unrelated to any other data source, on the report only. I've tried both a toggle box and check box. The toggle will show Yes/No as I make changes, but then defaults to Yes when I print. When I've tried the check box, it checks all the boxes. Any suggestions?

unbound controls in a continuous report will have the same value for each record - because it is not bound to a field

you can perhaps still bind it to a field by creating an extra field in your recordsource query e.g.

    chkbox:iif(myfield='x',true,false)

An alternative might be to use an unbound textbox, but use conditional formatting to change the back color
