Carry Over Inventory debit from one container to next in line?

I want to have my access data base subtract inventory from one labeled container until gone and then start debiting on the next container remaining of order.
    For example:

Box BFFD325 has 230000 units when opened.
    Orders 1-5 equal 350000

What would it be called to make access mark BFFD325 empty and take remaining 120000 units out of next box BFFD594 The box labels are never in numerical order but are in a known order.

I am real good at looking up most help but I am not sure how to name what I am looking for.
    Thank you for reading

    You want update queries.
they would decrement the Qty until zero.

I have no idea about your dB & requirements (not enough info), but I am thinking this will require VBA code because it seems you want to be able to remove amounts from different tables at different times.

How does the database know that bffd594 is emptied after bffd325? That would help.

Or is it a piece of information you're going to have to type in?

As Steve said there isn't complete info re your issue.
If your question is that you want to ensure you sell/allocate inventory on a first in first out basis, then you might want to research FIFO.
This is the process used by fresh fruit and dairy products (among others). For example, you want to ensure that "milk" is sold based on the best before date - or fresh fruit is sold as it is picked- you don't want to have older inventory sitting and costing you money.
Often FIFO is done in batches, you buy a batch of X for $y/unit, and you sell these until the batch is exhausted. then you make the next purchased batch available for sale.

    see this info for more

    Good luck.
