Lookup Wizard

Which option works better for the lookup wizard?

1. Set table field's Data Type to Lookup Wizard
2. Change the field in form, from text box to combo box, which uses the lookup to another query

Are there any pros and cons for using either option?

I presume by #1 you mean lookup fields in table.

If the lookup needs more than a lookup table/query, a search form may be another solution.

In my opinion, definitely Option 2. Most serious developers religiously avoid lookup fields; they are going to lead to problems eventually.

Thank you for the responses! I am going back to the query and combo box in forms. Never used the Lookup Field in the table, thought that was easy, but looks like it will cause more problems.
