Question Sharing of Access Database tables amoung multiple PCs

I have built an Access system for a local charity. They now want to add additional workstations (PCs) to use simultaneously accessing the database tables. I have mapped the one to the other, but even when locking is at record level, the two cannot update the tables although they are working on different clients. What am I doing wrong? HELP!

Did you split the database? This will allow multiple people editing?

to follow on from Ranman's comment. Does each user have their own copy of the front end? if not, they should do. And the users will need read/write access to the folder where the back end is located
