    Short Interval Control

    Hi,

Im looking to see if there is a program out there through Access to run reports through Short Interval Control.

The idea is to get away from Excel and create through Access the same reporting system, where we have 3 departments and all 3 departments every 4 Hours meet and discuss if there were any issues with the previous 4 hours.
If there are any issues that should be reported, those will be added to the 4 Hourly log of which is a broken down into:

    1) 1st report is carried out and entered through the SIC (Short Interval Control)
    2) If the report logged in the SIC is complete, a box is chosen and completed, if it is not completed, it is transferred to a Daily report where all those on the Daily report are discussed in a Morning meeting.
    3) If the Daily report is complete, that is carried out the same way as in 1), if it is not complete, it is transferred to the Weekly report that is discussed by Management in the Friday meeting.

The qustion out there, is there such an Access file that can do this and if so, where can I gain access to that report.

If not, is there anyone out there willing to help me created the report.

Many thanks to everyone who has read the post and I hoe it all makes sense

    Many thanks

    Pugg

once you get the data into Access you can print any reports.
you can roll up the data into hourly, daily, weekly, etc.

You may need to export the data from SIC into an excel file.
import the excel file into access.
    run reports.

this would be a 2 step process:
1 export SIC to the same file File2Export.xls, overwriting the previous.
2 in access, click import button. The button would run a macro. the macro would run an append query to pull the data in the attached table (File2Export.xls) and add it to the master data.

    Hi,

I'm not that up to date with Access but run it every day.

Would you please explain how I create and be able to run the reports and enter data instead of using the Excel sheet
