    Access Min Formula Help

    Hey all,

I am creating a database that holds all vertical clearances for each lane on a bridge. As of right now everything it looking okay but I am having problems with my minimum value calculations. Since some of my values are zero it is grabbing those instead. I calculate the minimum in an append query right now. Thank you in advance.

Well, you described a little bit about the problem. Now let's hear about the desired outcome.
The zeros are put there by the calculation query? Should it be doing that?

Well the outcome I want is to take the smallest clearance value that is not zero. My database is set up to hold ten lanes max for each direction of travel. So if a bridge does not have ten lanes, for example only 4, the other 6 lanes will have zero as its measurement.

Related question: does this mean that you have one field for each lane? If so, you have bigger issues.
