Post Table from which Form is built, want to replace that with updated information...how to do that

    Hello Experts,

I have a table from which i have created couple of forms (for managers and for users seperately),
now managers whats to add some more functions for which i need to add some columns (nothing to remove from old table, just adding)...

I did the following steps :
    1) I imported a new table with another name "table_x"
    2) I renamed the existing table with "table_1"
    3) Renamed a new imported table from "table_x" to table name from which Forms are built.

It seems working but I need to apply all Dropdowns and datatypes changes to new table once renamed as performed in forms....

my question is : does this works fine all the time ?
    2) Is this the best practice to do this kind of updates ?
    3) is there any other way (easier) pls let me know ...

    Thanks
    Guddu Chobey...

    1. It shouldn't be a problem.
    2. You SHOULDN'T do it this way. Normally, you'd keep the table, and import the data using 2 queries. Import all to get new records. Another query to update changed records. No table renaming needed.

But if your way works, the keep it.
