Question Add inventory to on hand quantities when a build ticket is completed IN A WEB APP

    Hi,

i am trying to set up a database for my company to track inventory going in and out. Our employees build the product from a "build ticket" table, which tells them what product and how many to build. There is a requested quantity and an actual quantity. The actual quantity is the quantity that will be added to the on hand quantity on the product table. I would like for that amount to be added automatically when they complete the build ticket.

    Any suggestions?

sounds like a series of update queries.
    increment 1 table
    decrement the inventory
