APIs & MS Access.

Hi,

I want to learn about:
1. APIs,
2. Creating APIs to allow external Users to access a company MS Access [2007?] Database to read, extract & upload data into it.


3. Accessing APIs of external web sites from MS Access.

I started reading up about APIs but I'm finding it difficult to understand how it all works and how I can relate what I'm reading to what I need to do with MS Access.

I would appreciate it if anyone could point me to some good references/tutorials/examples/code.

Why do you believe you need to create an API? Are you using Access in conjunction with SharePoint and Web Browsers?

Hi ItsMe,

It is a requirement of the project.
The Project requires the MS Access Application to retrieve information from public web sites using the APIs they make available.
It also requires creating one or more APIs to make the data in the MS Access Database available to external [web] users who have the appropriate permission to either read, modify or delete.
